This week, the Action Logement Territorial Meetings are taking place in Guadeloupe, bringing together key players in affordable housing in France. On this occasion, Bruno Arcadipane, President of Action Logement, Philippe Lengrand, Vice-President of Action Logement, and Frédéric Guilleux, CEO of ZEBOX, the international innovation accelerator founded in 2018 by Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, announced their partnership.
ZEBOX, whose mission is to connect the best startups with major corporations to foster innovation, will support Action Logement through its ZEBOX Caribbean hub, based in Guadeloupe. This initiative will fully integrate entrepreneurs from the Overseas Territories into Action Logement’s decarbonization and energy efficiency plan, launched in December 2022.
A collaboration focused on four strategic pillars
Through co-innovation with startups, Action Logement aims to accelerate its transformation and sustainable transition in the Overseas Territories with the following objectives:
- Decarbonization of buildings and transport: Implementing low-emission solutions developed by local entrepreneurs, optimizing infrastructure, and integrating renewable energy sources to reduce the carbon footprint.
- Process automation: Leveraging artificial intelligence to analyze data and enhance performance through predictive tools and optimized information systems.
- Strengthening the employment-housing link: Developing training programs, improving workplace safety, enhancing the attractiveness of territories, and improving living conditions.
- Improving operational efficiency: Utilizing new technologies to optimize operations, anticipate needs, and strengthen network resilience.
ZEBOX Caribbean will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and connecting the most promising innovations with Action Logement. It will also serve as a bridge to local innovation ecosystems, including French Tech and various entrepreneurial networks. Beyond Guadeloupe and Martinique, ZEBOX Caribbean will unite key innovation players in French Guiana, Réunion, and Mayotte, particularly in the reconstruction efforts following Cyclone Chido.
A strong commitment to the Overseas Territories
Beyond technological innovations, this Open Innovation strategy aims to create local jobs and stimulate economic growth in the Overseas Territories. Action Logement’s Territorial Committees will be fully engaged alongside ZEBOX Caribbean and economic and social stakeholders to support the deployment of innovative solutions.
By combining their expertise, ZEBOX and Action Logement aim to actively contribute to combating climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions while improving the quality of life for communities in the Overseas Territories.
